Welcome to Beverly Wilshire Homes Association Online
SERVING AS A VOICE OF CHANGE
AND RESPONSIBLE GROWTH IN OUR COMMUNITY
FOR OVER 50 YEARS.

The Beverly Wilshire Homes Association (BWHA) is a California 501c4 non-profit
incorporated volunteer organization of property owners, residents, and businesses
within the area bounded by LaBrea on the east to La Cienega on the west.
Rosewood on the north to the north side of Wilshire on the south.
Excluding Park LaBrea and the Miracle Mile.

If we are not the overseers and caretakers of our neighborhoods,
then who else will stand up for us?
OUR PURPOSE

BWHA works to improve the quality of life in our community and to represent the interests of homeowners and residents.

We serve as the voice of BWHA homeowners and residents on issues involving local government, decision-making agencies, businesses, and developers.

OUR VALUES

  • We support the right of our community to a livable neighborhood, where homeowners’ and residents’ needs receive proper consideration.

  • We support thoughtful development, which considers the scale and character of established neighborhoods and the potential impact on traffic and infrastructure.

  • We oppose and challenge the assumption that adding density and increasing commercial activity trumps all other community considerations.

OUR ACTIVITIES

  • We evaluate the impact of proposed development and public policy decisions.

  • We represent our community’s interests with local officials, agencies, developers, businesses, and commercial interests.

  • We work to ensure that local projects comply with existing zoning regulations and with building and safety guidelines.

  • We coordinate with other homeowner associations to find solutions to regional problems, such as traffic congestion and inadequate parking.

  • We help residents find appropriate resolution for their problems.

  • We alert area residents to issues of importance to our community.

  • When necessary, we pursue appropriate legal remedies.

MANSIONIZATION
THE CURSE OF THE DEVELOPER

Growth does take place, but it doesn’t mean we have to lose the character of our neighborhoods.
